The Valdese Rotary club held a used book drive recently and donated over SEVEN HUNDRED BOOKS to the Hallyburton Media Center!  In addition, they procured a Thrivent Action Team "Live Generously" grant for $250 for new books.  They have also generously donated $100 to purchase additional books and supplies for our Media Center.  The Hallyburton family is so thankful for the outstanding, abundant support from the Valdese Rotary Club.

The Valdese Rotary bestows two or three $500 scholarships to Hallyburton Seniors from either semester .
The funds must be used for any further schooling or training that make the student more employable or to progress toward a degree.

A special thank you goes to Ted Carothers, Valdese Rotary member and school liaison for working so diligently to lend a hand to the students and faculty of Hallyburton.
