On Monday, January 23 Hallyburton Academy held the January graduation ceremony.  The graduating seniors dedicated the ceremony to Jonathan Clontz, principal for his support of and dedication to the students of Hallyburton.  The guest speaker was Sgt. Ian Kurtz, a 2011 graduate of Hallyburton and now an active United State Marine.  His inspiring words were greatly enjoyed by the students, faculty, parents, and all other attendees.  CONGRATULATIONS JANUARY GRADUATES!

The Valdese Rotary bestows two or three $500 scholarships to Hallyburton Seniors from either semester .
The funds must be used for any further schooling or training that make the student more employable or to progress toward a degree.

At the recent January graduation ceremony, Brenda Edney and Andy Vue were each awarded a $500 scholarship.

A special thank you goes to Ted Carothers, Valdese Rotary member and school liaison for working so diligently to lend a hand to the students and faculty of Hallyburton.
